Stephanie was crowned New York’s Funniest Female, chosen for HBO’s U.S. Comedy Arts Festival and recognized by The New York Times as “a woman with a sitcom life” consisting of her mentally ill brother and hypochondriac father.
Stephanie Blum holds a New York State license in School Psychology. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Oneonta and a master’s degree in Education and Certification in School Psychology from Brooklyn College. During her post-graduate internship, she performed counseling and tutoring for elementary school children while her advanced internship at King’s County Psychiatric Hospital gave her the opportunity to conduct psychological testing, parent conferencing, consulting with psychologists and psychiatrists for at-risk teenage girls.
For twelve years, Blum served as a resident School Psychologist for the New York City Board of Education where she provided family therapy, consulted with social workers and guidance counselors, performed psychological testing and counseling as well as conducted teacher-student conferences on the high school level.
She lives in LA with her husband and three children.
She's New York's Ladies of Laughter Funniest Female and U.S. Comedy Arts Festival's “Breakout Performer.”
