Throughout her career, comedian Stephanie Blum has brought audiences into hysterics with her take-no-prisoners, make-no-apologies approach to stand up. As a mother of three and former school psychologist, this street smart Brooklyn native has a strong opinion on just about everything, especially parenting, marriage and her most guilty pleasure, pop-culture. In her new TV show, TLC’s hit primetime series, What She Said, her outrageous on-air commentary has proven to be both insightful and hilarious.
When not busy making people laugh at comedy clubs in New York, L.A. and Las Vegas, Stephanie guests on shows like Comic’s Unleashed with Byron Allen, Country Music Television’s Top 20 Funniest Videos, The Marie Osmond Show as well as appearing on her own web series, Moms Rule! an irreverent, revealing look at mommyhood. Stephanie Blum holds a New York State license in School Psychology. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Oneonta and a master’s degree in Education and Certification in School Psychology from Brooklyn College. During her post-graduate internship, she performed counseling and tutoring for elementary school children while her advanced internship at King’s County Psychiatric Hospital gave her the opportunity to conduct psychological testing, parent conferencing, consulting with psychologists and psychiatrists for at-risk teenage girls.
For twelve years, Blum served as a resident School Psychologist for the New York City Board of Education where she provided family therapy, consulted with social workers and guidance counselors, performed psychological testing and counseling as well as conducted teacher-student conferences on the high school level.
She lives in LA with her husband and three children.
She's New York's Ladies of Laughter Funniest Female and U.S. Comedy Arts Festival's “Breakout Performer.”
Ms. Blum appears at the Mohegan Sun Casino, Palace Station and The Stardust in Las Vegas as well as at The Comic Strip, Carolines, Gotham Comedy Club, The Improv, Stand-Up New York, and many others.
